I went with a little "vine" inlay up at the 12th fret as well. I guess this guitar picked up a bit of a theme.

After the epoxy sets on the headstock it can be sanded flat. The inlay on the fret board will get radius sanded (Gibson uses a 12" radius.) and the epoxy will get sanded off.
